With argon plasma technology we offer one of the most innovative methods of skin tightening at our practice clinic in Oldenburg, almost regardless of the area. The best part: the access points are only 3 to 5 mm in size. A probe is introduced through them; at its tip an argon plasma beam of about 70 to 80 °C tightens the skin and lastingly stimulates collagen synthesis. Much like the skin of a chicken, which only becomes wrinkle-free under the influence of heat, the tissue contracts – from the inside, without disturbing the skin surface with large incisions.

Which areas can be tightened in a minimally invasive way?

Can every kind of skin slackening be corrected with argon plasma?
No – and we say so before the treatment, not afterwards. Its use requires individual planning. Where very large amounts of skin remain after massive weight loss, there is often no way around the classic lifting methods, which we of course continue to offer in full: abdominoplasty, upper arm and thigh lift or the body lift. Smaller and medium amounts of skin, on the other hand, can be tightened well in a minimally invasive way.
How argon plasma technology works
The argon plasma system developed by EMED combines high-frequency energy with the noble gas argon to form a plasma cloud. This tightens the skin gently and effectively from the inside and creates a smoother complexion. The sequence is important: if fat is suctioned beforehand, the layer of fat can no longer absorb the energy of the plasma beam – the tightening works where it is meant to work.

Is the procedure free of risk?

How long does the result last?
