Ear Correction

Ear Correction

What Does Ear Correction (Otoplasty) Mean?

Sometimes, due to incomplete developmental processes, the ear cartilage does not fully form, resulting in protruding ears (medical term: otapostasis).
Ear correction is one of the most common procedures in aesthetic surgery.

At our clinic, we perform an open surgical technique.
In adults, the operation can easily be performed under local anesthesia, while for children, general anesthesia is recommended.
The best time for the procedure is usually shortly before school enrollment, to prevent teasing and to promote a child’s self-confidence.

The procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis, with a follow-up check the next day to remove the dressing.

We will be happy to advise you during a personal consultation.

What Else Can Be Corrected on the Ears?

Like any other part of the body, the ear is also affected by aging processes.
Enlarged earlobes and stretched ear holes caused by heavy earrings or plugs are common concerns among patients.
A small local anesthesia procedure allows for the closure of stretched earlobes and the removal of excess soft tissue.

We are also happy to assist you with symmetrical re-piercing of earrings after correction.
