Thigh Lift
Thigh Lift
What is a thigh lift and when is it performed?
With age, the skin loses elasticity.
Significant weight fluctuations or fat distribution disorders can accelerate sagging of the inner thighs.
This becomes problematic when the thighs rub against each other, leading not only to aesthetic but also to functional problems such as irritation and inflammation.
A thigh lift can then be the treatment of choice.
Different techniques are available and are selected individually based on your needs and healing profile.
What can I expect from a thigh lift?
A thigh lift significantly reduces soft tissue and excess skin, resulting in smoother and firmer contours.
The rubbing between the thighs decreases substantially, improving comfort and hygiene.
The incision is placed on the inner thigh, similar to a pant seam, making it discreet.
In our clinic, we combine the thigh lift with liposuction to protect lymphatic and blood vessels and to remove excess skin gently.
What is a dermolipectomy?
This technique combines liposuction with careful removal of excess skin and soft tissue.
The goal is to preserve lymphatic vessels and fine nerves to achieve both aesthetic results and optimal function.
How long do the results last?
Removed tissue does not return.
However, aging and connective tissue weakness can lead to new skin excess after about 10 years, depending on individual weight fluctuations.
Is a thigh lift painful?
While a surgical procedure, our use of tumescent anesthesia and a personalized pain protocol ensures a comfortable recovery.
Most patients report only mild discomfort post-surgery.
Wound healing issues after a thigh lift?
Wound healing complications are frequently discussed among surgeons.
Our refined surgical technique, including tension-reducing internal sutures and skin suspension, minimizes these risks significantly.
How is a thigh lift performed at our clinic?
After consultation, detailed explanation, and planning, we perform the surgery in our own facility. Our goal is to address your expectations and precisely mark incision lines in advance. On the day of surgery, we ensure minimal waiting time. I personally review all plans and repeat the markings. Our nursing and anesthesia team will accompany you throughout. After the procedure, you can stay overnight for observation if desired. A nurse will monitor you, and I remain personally nearby. After your follow-up check the next day, you can usually go home.Advantages / disadvantages / risks – are there alternatives?
A thigh lift effectively reduces excess tissue on the thighs and improves body shape. There are **no equivalent non-surgical alternatives** that achieve comparable tightening. A temporary feeling of tension is normal. With our tissue-conserving surgical technique, we minimize wound healing risks. What should be considered after surgery?
**Compression garments** should be worn for about **6 weeks** for optimal results. With dissolvable sutures, **no stitch removal** is required. Most patients are **socially and professionally active again after 10 days**. **Sport** can be resumed after **6 weeks**, and **showering** is allowed from **day 2** post-surgery.Treatment facts
